1996 Ford Contour overdrive dashboard light blinking
Transmission problem
1996 Ford Contour 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 059301 miles
transmission is working well with a little hesitation in start up / smooths out quickly but overdrive on / off light begins blinking after approx 5 minutes/ clicking the button does no good / no noticeable change in trans. performance during light flashing
do i just need a service call or am i looking at a soon to be serious trans. problm ?

Hello Over drive light flashing because system has detected something amiss in trans system. You need to get it scanned to determine what the computer detected as a problem.There will be some codes let me know what codes came up and i can help you further.
