Electrical problem
1995 Ford Bronco V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

since my husband passed away I am on my own to do small repairs( he was the one with knowledge teaching me the how tos). I know where and how to replace the starter. I just want any expert tips. Oil changes and tune ups is all I have done without him on this auto.
This is my first time using this program if it works I will be a donation regular.
Please,
Widow Watson

Pretty simple repair for the bronco. Before removing electrical wiring from starter motor, be sure to tag them so you know where they go back on new starter motor. Be sure to torque the bolts back properly, if your starter has 3 mounting bolts then they will torque back to 12 - 15 Ft. Lbs, if it only has 2 mounting bolts then they tighten to 15 - 20 Ft. Lbs. Don't let the little starter fool you either, once it is loose it can be quiet heavy, especially if you are at an awkward position under vehicle. Always disconnect negative battery cable before making repairs on any electrical system.
