Engine Mechanical problem
1985 Ford Bronco V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a full size for bronco with a 302 it has the v-belt pulleys I am having trouble with the alternator to the crankshaft pulley belt. The pulley after tightened down begins to roll over and comes off once it comes off knocks off all other belts no matter what I do I cant fix the problem and have noticed that the pulleys are not aligned but cant fix. And my crank pulley actually moves forward when engine revs then aligns but belt still pops off

The pulley moves towards the back of engine and front. Or up towards hood then down towards floor?

Hey the crank pulley moves toward radiator when engine revs up and it is only that pulley that moves and the belt rolls in the direction the pulley moves and pops off I am not sure if there is a special pulley or if the harmonic balancer or the pulley is bad.

The crank may be worn. Could have excessive axial thrust. Causing it to pull forward. I would check to make sure the pulley is tight to the crankshaft. Theres a large bolt in the center. Then check the harmonic balancer and make sure its tight.

Would that also explain why the belt is angled and keeps popping off?

If the balancer is loose or the main pulley is loose it can cause vibration and wrong angles causing the belt to pop off.

Same if crankshaft is bad and is causing pulling and vibration.

I had a chance to take a look at the crankshaft and it is fine the problem still is in just the pulleys so I was wanting to get rid of the vbelt and put on a serpentine system from an 87 or newer bronco if it will fit

Not worth the money for the parts needed. I would suggest just buying the pulleys needed and fix it.
