I have a bronco with a 5.0 EFI that was running fine. I wqs doing a brake job on it and when I started it up, it ran very rough and blew black smoke and smelled of raw gas and made my eyes burn. I was able to get a code scan after a few attempts and got codes for the coolant temp sensor out of range, air charge temp sensor out of range, MAP sensor out of range, all of which have been changed, and the o2 sensor not changing from rich, I'm assuming because of the raw gas in the cylinders. I also changed the fuel pressure regulator thinking that may be the cause, but it didn't fix the problem. I don't know what else to change unless I change all the other sensors and then I still will probably will have the same problem. Help!

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY FORD BRONCO, IT WOULD RUN RICH BLOW BLACK SMOKE AND HESITATE. IT ENDED UP BEING THE M.A.P. SENSOR AND I ALSO CHANGED THE 02 SENSOR ALONG WITH IT SINCE NEITHER ONE HAS BEEN CHANGED AND THE TRUCK IS RUNNING PERFECT AN 8 MONTH NIGHTMARE GONE JUST LAST NIGHT. ANYTHING THAT IS OUT OF RANGE IS BAD ON THE TRUCK AND NEEDS TO BE CHANGED THATS THE COMPUTERS WAY OF SAYING THAT THE SENSOR IS BAD. BUT WHAT YOU HAVE IS A FAULTY M.A.P. SENSOR I CAN ALMOST GUARANTEE IT IF ANYTHING I.M ME BACK AND LET ME KNOW WHAT HAPPENS
