extremely rough idle..smoother at higher RPM...I checked all vacum lines and don't see any leaks/cracks etc. tried to listen while running but it shakes so hard that everything on my truch rattles. When i drive it, it smoothes out but not completely. Seems as though it misses a little. When i come to a stop sign or put it in park to idle it shakes so bad my vision goes blurry. This just happened all the sudden when I stated it up 2 days ago! Engine recently rebuilt about 7,000 mi ago and carburetor rebuilt 6 mo. ago. All new plugs, wires, cap and rotor 6 mo. ago as well. getting very frustrated trying to figure this out..any help?

Hi krowens76 and welcome to 2carpros

Check the choke plate is it fully opening when engine comes up to normal temp, Inspect and test the PCV and EGR valves-also check the fuel pressure. Make sure there's no loose sparkplug wires.

Might wanna check the air/fuel mix adjustment and curb idle

my EGR valve doesn't have any vacum lines coming of the back of it and it never has since I have owned the truck. Should there be one hooked up to this. if so where would the other end go? Also, should I get a new EGR valve to see if that fixes the extremely rough idle problem?

thanks
