Driver side power door lock switch

The power door lock switch will not operate on the drivers side. I can remove this switch and take it to the passengers side and it works fine so the switch seems to be ok. From the passengers side the switch will operate all the door locks fine so the actuator is not the issue either. I am getting 12 volts on the drivers side when I activate the switch but the door will not lock or unlock. What is the best way to find the break in the wire or another troubleshooting method.

If the actuator is working ok and you are getting voltage to the drivers door actuator, then I would check for anything that could be binding the lock mechanism itself. You can use a light lube to loosen up.
