Transmission problem
1996 Ford Aerostar 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic
I took my car to Auto-Zone to have the van scanned free and this is the reading that came out (ob1-mechanical condition-solenoid stuck(ob2-Internal transmission problem)
The prblem is won't shift from low to drive unless I go about 20 or more miles per hr. and let go of the gas pedal then it will shift everything will be fine until I go under 20 miles per hr. then I will have to repeat the steps as before.
The check engine light is on and I believe thats why.
I don't know what a shift solenoid is or where it is located does anybody know? is this a serious problem? will it cost a lot to repair? can I fix it myself?
I will appreciate any information.
