1995 Ford Aerostar wont shift

1995 Ford Aerostar 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200000 miles
my 1995 ford aerostar will not shift out of first gear. the trnsmission dont slip, has all the pulling power in the world in first . just wont shift, i changed the filter and fluid still wont shift why?

man im having the same problem with a 96 jeep cherokee i dont know what else to do to my jeep when i find something out i will let u know and if u find out something let me know please
