1994 Ford Aerostar air flow

When running a/c air flow through vents will diminish about 95%. This includes the back vents also. In winter the heater vents in front work fine but the back vents blow cool air.

Have you noticed that the air flow is going a different direction such as the defroster or heater?

No, not going anywhere. Air flow just cuts down a great deal.
