1993 Ford Aerostar Feels like the shift lever broke
Transmission problem
1993 Ford Aerostar 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 155,00 miles
In my '93 Ford Aerostar van the shift lever recently felt like it was getting more and more sloppy. This morning when I tried to shift into reverse it felt like something broke. The shift lever doesn't feel connected to anything, it won't go into gear and I can't get the key out of the ignition. Do I have any options other than trying to find a steering column from a junkyard?

Have you checked the linkage at the trans? Is everything still connected?
Let me know.
