Electrical problem
1993 Ford Aerostar 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my oil pressure gauge always stays in the same spot when running(never varies).My check oil light will come on at about 1 qt. low,I guess my question is...is the pressure ga.electrical ?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch could also be the gauge/wiring problem. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearing.
