Electrical problem
1992 Ford Aerostar V6 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 243, 00 miles

Hello

I first installed a new solenoid, and a new battery, as apparently, the battery drained completely dead; I cleaned the battery terminals and installed the battery and solenoid, near the firewall close to the battery.

I have a shop manual which shows a starter relay switch, which I have been unable to locate. I see two wire connectors, when tested showed power with the Voltmeter.

After reading the shop manual showing a starter relay switch (stating below and behind the battery), I am fairly confused at this point.

Do you think that the bendix spring in the starter could be stuck?

Or do you have any other help you may give?

Thanks

Follow the positive battery cable it will lead you to the starter relay at the relay remove small wire mark S on relay-hold key in start position look for power in it -no power-check the neutral safety switch at transmission-no power at NSS the problem is coming from the ignition switch.
