For the past few days, my van has been hard to start and once it finally does start there is a strong smell of gas. Once I start driving I don't notice the gas smell. Any ideas what could be going on?

Your fuel pressure regulator is suspect. It is located at the top of your motor and looks like a little flying saucer. It will have a single vacuum line going to it, and located on the throttle body(carburetor) or on the IN side of your fuel rail. (metal tube that runs across on the top of your injectors).Pull the rubber hose and cycle the key a time or two. If fuel comes out of where the hose was attached then the regulator need replaced.Try that and get back w/me. Larry
