2000 Ford Taurus, V6, 105000 miles

I have been driving this car for about 2 years since I got it used and it has been working fine. Suddenly, upon trying to start my car, it would not start. There was no power at all, the car was dead. After trying several times with no success, I waited another five minutes, tried it again, and magically it started up. The clock was reset indicating that it indeed was dead, but not it suddenly started.

I drove somewhere, and after a few hours, started it up fine, and drove back home just fine. The next day I tried to start the car and it wouldn't start again.

I got a fully charged battery from a friend and put it in the car. Now, some of the lights came on like the ABS light and the Airbag light, but not the radio or anything, and it wouldn't start up. Then we jumped the car with another car and it started. We left it running for a few minutes and I shut it off. Immediately I tried starting it up again (without the jumper cables) and it was starting up fine again.

The next day, I tried starting the car. Now, there is a clicking sound that it makes, and all the little lights come on, but the radio stays off, and the car won't start. When I turn the key I just hear this clicking noise.

Based on this information can somebody tell me what the problem can possibly be? Unfortunately I am very short on cash at the moment which is why I haven't taken it into the shop.

your problem might be in your starter, when you turn the key on does your dash lights come on? like your normal lights when you turn the key on if they do come on like normally and your turn the key to start it and it clicks and clicks then I'm gussung that its your starter

Yes, all the dash lights come on, but the radio does not. And when I turn the key in the ignition to start it, that's when it just clicks and clicks.
