While trying to replace the thermostat last night, I unknowingly was putting pressure on the EVAP purge tube and it snapped in half about 1/4" before the EVAP service port.
I cannot for the life of me find a replacement tube, except for online and that is not an option due to not having a debit card.
I am wondering if there is a splice or piece of tubing that would work to plug the 2 broken ends into that would work as a temporary fix?

Hi,

Here is what to do: First, that us under very low pressure. Run to the parts store and get a piece of rubber high-pressure fuel line or a rubber hose that will fit over each end of the broken hose tightly. Most parts stores sell it by the foot. Cut it to length and then snug a clamp on both sides. Do not over-tighten it because it will crush the plastic pipe.

Let me know if that helps or if you have other questions.

Take care and God Bless.

Joe

Fyi. Yes! A piece of 1/4" high pressure fuel line worked perfect.
Thank you very, very much!
I greatly appreciate you.
