Drove car fine all day, parked at friends house went to leave and just would not start. Got a new battery and new starter. Turn key lights come on. You can hear the starter engage, hear a clunk watch the engine move, but no turn over. Then a puff of smoke from the starter?

Hello,

It sounds like the engine is locked up, remove all of the spark plugs and see if it will turn over. I think you have a blown head gasket and it is filling one cylinder with coolant. Make sure you stand away from thee engine while cranking it over.

Please let us know what happens, we are interested too see what it is.

Cheers, Ken
