Over the weekend I swapped the engine of my car with a younger engine. After putting it all together I tried to start it but the alarm started going off and the key was stuck in the ignition until I removed the battery.

Hi,

I suspect the battery was disconnected when this work was done. Let's try a battery reset to see if it makes a difference. Follow the directions below.

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and remove the key. This lessens the chance of voltage spikes.

2. Disconnect the battery cables-negative cable first, then positive.

3. Short the battery cables together with a jumper wire.

4. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and wait 10 minutes.

5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and remove the key.

6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and remove the key.

7. Check ISIS, and do the required reset/learn procedures for the vehicle you're working on.

8. Enter the anti-theft code, and restore your customers settings.

As far as the radio code, try this. Press the preset buttons 1 and 6 at the same time while turning on the radio. A ten-digit serial number will appear on the radio display.

Let me know if any of this helps.
