3800 series 2 v6 Was driving fine. Stopped to get gas. Then when leaving gas station car lost all power and sputtered to a stop. Now every time I try to start. It fires, sputters and coughs for a second or two then dies. Every time. If you pump the gas pedal very fast it will continue to sputter & cough but wont run

Have the fuel pressure checked because it sounds like you have a bad fuel pump. Once the fuel pressure gauge is connected, turn the key to the On position. The gauge should register 40psi or more. If it doesn't show any pressure suspect a bad fuel pump, but do not buy one until you get back to us, because there are a couple of other things that you need to check first.
