Whenever I go to accelerate, my truck starts to "stutter" and vibrate a little. I have looked at the distributor and I have changed the spark plugs and the spark plug wires, but that didn't seem to help. I know there are plenty of reasons why this happened but I was wondering if you had an exact diagnoses.

Thanks for visiting 2CarPros.

If you've inspected the distributor cap for carbon tracking the next thing to check would be fuel pressure.

To do this you need to remove the flexible fuel line in the engine compartment and install the pressure gauge inline where the line was. Most pressure kits will have the adapter. You should have 9-13psi at idle.

You might also want to see if you have any diagnostic codes stored. You can check these easily on the truck buy jumping to pins on the data link connector under the drivers side of the dash, cutting the key on an d counting the check engine light flashes. It will first flash one long and two shorts three times indicating it's in self test mode. It will then flash your codes and then flash code twelve once all the codes have been read indicating it's done. I'll post a list of the codes and a picture of what to jump below.
