I need to find out what the ECM terminal pins are called where I can buy them. I have 2 burned out, we have new ECM and connector all pins connected except two that are burned but don't know exactly which ones to get and where to get them.

Hi,

I'm not sure I understand what you are looking for. If the ECM is new and the connector is new, which pins are burned?

Is it possible for you to upload a couple of pics and upload them so I can see exactly what is needed? Also, let me know the wire colors that connect to the pins.

Take care,

Joe

I sent you pics of burned pin the wires. Which are red or light red with white strip and light purple good pin new connector and bad connector. The connector is new but doesn't come with wires or pins 8. I had to take the wires and pins out of old one and put in new connector and yes, I also have a new ECM programmed to my VIN. I don't know the actual name of the pins and have tried Google search and auto parts stores locally to find replacement ones, but I can't find anything about them anywhere or where you can get them.

Hi,

I attached a pic below. The red wire with the white tracer is the power supply from the ECM fuse in the under-hood fuse box.

Now, the purple is different. I'm seeing two of them. One is the fuel level signal and the other is a low reference (ground).

Looking at the pin pictures, I believe you need a standard GM ECM connector pin. Do me a favor. Take a look at this Amazon page and compare what they are showing to what you have:

https://www.amazon.com/Delphi-Metri-Pack-Female-Terminal-12048074/dp/B01N99UY9S/ref=sr_1_18?crid=3HY5VXTKW5YXY&keywords=2008+GM+PCM+connector+pins&qid=1687236091&sprefix=2008+gm+pcm+connector+pins%2Caps%2C87&sr=8-18

Let me know.

Joe

I'm 99.99% sure that is the correct ones. Thank you so much. Is there any way you can send or post the entire ECM wire diagram you have in your reply telling what color each wire is what it's for and where it goes? You guys are amazing. Thank you so much.

Hi,

First, you are very welcome. I'm glad it's helping.

As far as the wiring is concerned, yep, I can do that. If you look below, I attached the entire powertrain management circuit. Note that the ECM shows up on different pages. I highlighted three places, and I think I got all of them. Just double check.

Also, the wiring schematic was four pages long. I had to cut each page in half to make them readable. I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next. So, each pair of pics (pics 1 and 2, pics 3 and 4, pics 5 and 6, and pics 7 and 8), are from one page. I hope that makes sense. LOL

Regardless, let me know how things turn out for you or if I can help in any way.

Take care,

joe
