Going on now for two years we have had a problem with the driver's side rear window going down and not wanting to go up. We have had it back to the dealer 4 times, but they won't do anything because it will not fail for them. Go figure! The way that we get it to roll up is by shutting off vehicle, push the button several times (you can hear a clicking sound when you do this) and then if it feels like it will go up. We just came back off from a trip and our little dog pushed the button and down it went and of course it would not go back up until we did the special window dance. All other windows work fine, and this problem persists even from the master switch or the direct door switch. Once we get it up it may go for weeks working fine then, bam, no workie, Thanks in advance.

To me it sounds like the main window switch controller is going out. But I have seen the window motor go out as well. When you have the switch in the up position can you move the window around and kind of help it will it go up? If so, the motor sounds bad which we can confirm by checking for power and ground at the motor. If it seems like the motor is not getting power, I suggest replacing the main window switch. This switch has a small computer inside to monitor window voltage etc. Here is how to test for power and ground at the motor and how to change the main switch out along with the window motor as well:

Here is a video showing how the job is done:

There is a reset procedure for the main window switch which I have included as well. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response to the problem so we can see what's going on.
