This is an Escalade. How to set memory on drivers seat? It is not in owners manual and some dealers do not know without calling GM.

With the car running set the set in the position you desire. Then hold the 1 or 2 button down until you hear a beep, then let the button up, the seat is now programmed.

Please let us know what you find so it will help others.

Best, Ken

Hey Ken, I thought it was working but when I set easy exit and program it overrides the driver settings done everything the owners manual says and it does not work. Called Cadillac can't get past customer service that is no help they say take it to dealer again and if they can't do it they will be able to call and get to a tech that may know. Frustrating they cannot tell me how or what the sequence is. Any help with sequencing you find would greatly be appreciated sir. Thanks

I'm not sure if you can have both at the same time. Did you try to reprogram it after the easy exit?

Yes, she had it before, you set memory on exit seats went to where she had them set when getting out. Then when getting in they stayed in that position until you put foot on brake and started car then seat went to where you had it programmed to be when driving then shut off car open door and seat would go to where it was programmed for exit. The dealers could not do it without calling Cadillac at GM went through so many people there before finding the right person that knew the sequence like I said earlier Ken I tried there customer service but that is no help. Cannot believe no one there at GM can send me this information. I do what is in manual and it does not work a dealer last week done updates that took three hours to complete so they told her and knocked out her setting again but they argued that they changed nothing on her settings but yet we can not get it programmed. The only thing I have to go by is the manual and that does not work. Thanks-Jerry

When the dealer updated the computer it must have not reprogrammed correctly. I would take it back and tell them the seat memory module in the BCM is now malfunctioning due to their update.

Hi Ken, took a bit of trying but this is the easiest way for me to explain it but it worked this way not like owners manual said. Hope I made it English enough to understand. Thanks -Jerry
Setting Seat Memory
2014 Cadillac
With the car running- In the settings menu go to vehicle then go to comfort and convenience, then set your seat, steering wheel, and mirrors the way you want them for driving. Then on the door push the set button and number one button at the same time until you hear a beep then let up on the buttons. Then go to auto memory recall and make sure (at ignition on) is selected. Then for exiting car set your seat and steering wheel in the position you want them to be in then push on the door the set button and easy exit button at the same time until you hear a beep then let up on buttons. Then in vehicle settings go to comfort and convenience go to easy exit options and select on. For car to automatically lock when leaving the car. In settings go to vehicle then go to (remote lock, unlock, start)- then go to passive door lock and check (on)- then go to passive door unlock in menu and check driver door. (Driver door) done.
