The subject basically describes my entire issue. I am still covered under warranty but the problem does not occur every time the vehicle is driven. So of course the dealership dismisses me.
The door locks and unlocks randomly when driving but my door ajar light isn't on so I'm assuming the bcm recognizes the doors are closed. I am able to even lock and unlock the doors when it stops "doing its thing". After engine shut down but leaving ignition "on", typically the center LCD screen back light is on along with lights under the shifter that display if in Park, Neutral, Drive. Etc. But this time they were all off but once I pushed down on the window switch to roll down the passenger side window. The backlight for the screen came on along with the lights under the shifter. Once I let get of the window switch, they turned off.

That's the best I can describe it, but I can help to clarify more if I can. Thanks for any help, I will try to capture a video next time it happens to show the dealership. I would just like some insight on what it might be.

Do you have the transmitter or the remote for the car? This sounds like a security issue.

I have never tried the extra set. But occasionally the main FOB I use would not register me locking the door with the FOB. I didn't mention this cause I didn't think it would be related. But it might be.

I think it may very well be related, try taking the battery out of the main fob and locking and unlocking the doors with the extra key and fob and see if this corrects your issue. Please let me know how it goes.

Will do. Thanks for your help. Like I said, all these minor hiccups don't happen every day. The door unlock and locking by itself happened once. The key fob problem at least once a week. So I will do what you said and change fobs and do a weekly run and get back with you if that works.

That seemed to have fixed the problem! I hadn't had any trouble with using the extra key fob. I don't think I let you know before that I had trouble with the trunk as well when I'd tried to close it. But switching to the other fob has fixed that too.

Odd that something so simple could cause issues like that. Thanks again for the help!
