Nope a pro has to do it any garage with a scanner can

Just to add to this one not every professional scan tool will program gm remotes I know the vectronics tech2 will. Also the otc genisys will program certain year and model gm vehicles so a independent shop would be hit and miss
You would have to call around heres another thing you can try yourself. Take the remote over the truck and hold down the lock and unlock buttons at the same time. For about 5 seconds if it works the horn will honk and the locks will cycle. Thats how you re sync gm remotes that were already programmed to the vechiles. Let me know what happens.
