Door lock not staying locked

Working on the car listed above with door lock problems. The drivers side switch is not working, and when you lock the doors from the passenger side everything will lock but not the driver side door. Also, while driving or even it just sitting there you can hear the actuator unlocking the doors over and over and is draining the battery. So I took it all apart and used an electronic parts cleaner to make sure it wasn’t just a stuck switch, but it continued to do it. So now I’m looking at getting a new actuator for that door or a new (used) switch panel. For the drivers side door. Which do you think I should replace first?

Hello,

I would start with the switch first. Sometimes the switch will get a short in it and cause the actuator to stay on, draining the battery. Hope this helps. Let us know what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex

It was indeed the switch. Cost me $15.00 to do what the shop quoted over $300.00. Thanks for your help in verifying what I was thinking.
