Does too much dye in A/C system cause a problem

I had an A/C compressor replaced in my old van last year (out of a salvage yard but it worked well and was quiet when it was installed). 10,000 miles later a different shop told me recently that the new "bearing noise" I hear is from the compressor.
This new shop tells me that there is a lot of dye in the A/C system; that whoever put it in the system had basically diluted the oils that keep the compressor lubricated and thus the bearing wearing out noise. Does this make sense?
And if so, can they not flush out the dye out of the system if I need a replacement compressor? They made it sound like the dye would stay in there and would dilute the oil in a replacement compressor too.
Thanks for your reply.

Good evening

The bearing in the front of the compressor has no involvement with the freon. It is external. It is a permanently sealed bearing. If the bearing is bad, the bearing can just be replaced.

No, the dye will not cause this at all. There is no connection.

The bearing is part of the clutch pulley assembly.

It sounds like you need another shop more familiar with AC operations.
