My waterpump, sepentine belt, and tensioner were just replaced. Now there is a whine that seems to be coming from my alternator. Could the belt be to tight or is the bearing in the alternator bad? Can I adjust belt tension? I thought the tensioner was automatic.

The tensioner is automatic tension. So I dont believe that it is possible to have a problem with the tensioner unless it is not putting enough tension on the belt. The bearings in the alternator sounds like it may be the problem but make sure the belt is seated correctly before purchasing another alt.
