1996 Dodge Van Car Squeals when 1st Started if A/C is on

Car makes a loud squealling sound when first startded if the A/C is on. Or, if already running with the A/C off it will begin to squeall when the A/C is switched on. In either case the squeall stops after 1-3 minutes.
