Tranny has been acting like it sticks in between gears when I shift from park to drive. After working the gear shift lever it seems to pop back into the proper slot and works fine, it has done this 3-4 times before. Yesterday it did it once again, but after trying to get it to pop back in the column gear shift handle actually broke off from inside the steering column. Any ideas?
The handle is not broken the interior where it connects inside the steering column broke. The real problem is not fixing the shift handle, but diagnosing the problem of why it sticks in between gears, but acts like it is shifting smoothly with the lever. Seems to be an internal trans problem.
