1988 Dodge Truck won't start

1988 Dodge Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Truck won;t start and run. It starts sometimes and wil. L idle but it doesn't stay running It may or may not start again. The fuel pump has been replaced but it make s no difference. When you try to restart it there is no spark. Is there a thermal break or some such relay in the fuel pump wiring that won' t allow it to restart?/
