Engine Performance problem
1977 Dodge Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic unknow miles

My 77 Dodge truck has a rebuilt engine with about 80,000 miles on it. The engine was overbored and had a RV Cam put in. While it runs beautifully when ussusally it has had major Carb problems since the rebuild.

Currently the truck is hard to start and stalls at low RPM, once running and warming up it will idle in park or nutral but very very low. IF in gear it stalls at every stop unless I keep the RPM up and hold down the brake, sometimes this requires a lot of gaw and I stall out anyway when I take my foot of the brake. This started abruptly about a month ago.

THe Carb was rebuilt 10 months ago, and ran beautifully for a 9 of those months.

THe Transmission has seemed slow to shift since this started.

Hi nsmith7, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

If the ignition timing, the carb's A/F mix and Curb idle speed are adjusted properly- Clean out the PCV and EGR valves and see whay happens. If it continues get the Carb checked again, also inspect the thermostatic air cleaner operation and the heat riser control valve if they all still in place.
