Ignition fuse

Six cylinder two wheel drive automatic 88,000 miles.

I keep having this issue and have gone to several repair places.

At first the fuse would blow when I would start my car.
I took it in to have it looked at and the mechanic could not find the any issue.
After having three fuses blow in three days, I took it to a shop that specialized in car electronics.
The did a diagnostic and I was told the fuse ran to three things.
1. The ignition switch.
2. The radio.
3. The fuel pump.
Though they could not tell what was causing the problem.
First they unplugged the radio, the fuse still blew but it took a week or so before it did and during that time the fuse blew for the first time while the car was moving (this has only happened once) so the mechanic ruled out the ignition switch. So they replaced the fuel pump.

A few weeks later, the fuse once again blew when starting the car.

Any ideas what could be causing this? The mechanic said it would be hard to find the issue without having the car hooked up when the fuse goes, but it is so random. The mechanic also thinks it might be a wire that is occasionally rubbing on something.

Any help please. I have a box of fuses and have replaced many, I can keep doing so but at some point it would be nice to fix this issue.

Hi.

This sounds like you have a shorted ignition coil or fuel injector. Please unplug all coils and injectors to see if the fuse still blows. I do not think it has anything to do with the radio.

Please let us know what you find.

Cheers

I have a 2001 Dodge Stratus and my injector coil fuse blew every time I turned the key. After much time under the hood I found the problem, radio capacitor, it controls the volts to the fuel injectors.
