My Stratus has a very loud squeaking sound coming from what seems like the driver side front when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, i.E. 8-12 mph. Is this a big problem, or can I simply lube/grease it myself?

Squeaking can come from worn ball joint, tie rod, or the top mount on the strut, to check ball joints use a floor jack under the ball joint and jack it up, try shaking the wheel top and bottom, then side to side, any parts with movement need to be replaced, now have someone turn the wheel and feel the nut on the strut mount, any noise there?
