1993 Dodge Spirit spits

Hi, I just recently got this car from my mom, it sit for at least 1 1/2 years with the same old gas in it. I have put in Lucas fuel injector cleaner and Shell v power gas. I have also replace the fuel filter. However, it spits, meaning it sounds like it gets a gulp of bad gas or something. It does it mostly when idling such as coming to a stop sign. Once in awhile it will do it a say 55 but it is rare. Any suggestions?

Chances are it is caused by varnish left behind from the old fuel. Try the injector again. If it doesn't clean itself up, chances are the throttle body injectors may need replaced.
