Engine Performance problem
1993 Dodge Spirit 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The check engine light is on. The car idles high and surges sometimes when driving. Please help I need to fix it.I was told if the check engine light is on and you dont fix it soon it could damage something else in the car. Thank you

Engine light just means the vehicle's computer has detected a fault in one of the systems. You need to retrieve the trouble code(s) that are stored by the engine light to help pinpoint the issue.
