I recently bought a Dodge Ram 1500 sport Ext. Cab, when i bought it, it had been sitting for about a year with out being started, when i first started it, there was no oil pressure on the gauge and the oil light was on, i took it home and when i started it again, the oil pressure gauge came up to normal, the light went off but after about 15 or 20 seconds the gauge drops to 0 and the light comes back on, i turn it off and restart it and the same thing happens, any idea what could be wrong.

I would check the sender and look at it for leaks. I would also suspect that the sender is failing. When the vehicle shows pressure does it just drop to zero or slowly drop to zero?
