1998 Dodge 1500 4x4 - 5.9L(gasoline)- 151,000 miles - was under load and the Check engine light came on -flashing. Checked error code P0310- replaced the spark plug - which was split and burned-
still ran rough- replaced the wires- still rough replaced the distributor- ran fine the Light reset and went off. Drove and ran fine for a week. Was driving and excelerated rapidly- check engine light came on again, running rough P0310 again- cylinder 1 misfire. Could it be fuel injector? How can I check / get to the injector?

Sure sounds like it. You can try measuring resistance across the injector when it isnt working. Measure the others and compare, might not show anything though. The injector is mounted externally on the side of the intake plenum
