I changed my oil & filter today, when I got in to drive it I was able to go about 2-10th of a mile and the check gauge light came on an the oil pressure guage was reading low all the way down.I backed up an it appeared to leave some type of trail. When I checked under the truck, it looks as if the switch is hanging by the wire without a threaded end. I changed a switch like this on my 88 automatic 351 ford truck 3/4 ton. How do I change this one or do I just need to reattach it someway. Thanks Dan

Dan:
If it is the oil switch, it is very similar to the one in the Ford. It screws in and out. Based on which switch you have, you may need to get a special socket to remove it. Just another way for them to make money. If the switch is hanging by the wires and the threaded end is still in the engine, you will loose oil and the old one isn't repairable.

Let me know if you have other questions.
