occasionally leaks coolant after truck has been shut off. I have noticed it twice in the last month, appears to be from under reservoir. Temp always stays normal, does have a slight odor of coolant inside vehicle. Any suggestions?

Hello,

A good first step would be to do a thorough inspection of the suspected area. You could have a leak from the reservoir or the hose that is attached to it.
Doing a pressure test on the cooling system can help determine the leak.

Here is a helpful guide:

Usually when there is coolant odor inside the vehicle, it is due to a leak in the heater core. Small leaks can happen that allows just a trace amount of coolant to seep out, which will create the odor but might now show as a leak on the floor.

Doing a pressure test can help with finding out if there is an active leak.

Keep in mind that if the coolant level is higher than recommended the coolant will come out of the drain hose from the reservoir.

Please let me know.

Thank you.
