1999 Dodge Ram speedometer

My speedometer has stopped working. It was working above 35 MPH last week but has stopped working at all now. What could the problem be? Speedometer cable or is there one on the 1999 Dodge Ram pick-up.

Yes the check engine light is on and so are the ABS light and Brake lite in the instrument cluster.

No you won't have a cable on this vehicle. You will have a sensor on the transmission, and sensors on the wheels for the ABS. You can always go to autozone and have them scan it for free just to be sure. But vehicle speed sensor is what I suspect and possibly wheel sensors too
