99 model dodge ram 4x4. At 3000 rpm my truck loses all power. I replaced plug wires and battery terminal ends. It starts and idols just fine but when I get into it or when I pull a trailer, it just loses all its power. What could this be attributed to? Thank you

Loosen the exhaust at the engine and see if the power
has come back under load, if it did you have a plunged
exhaust or converter.
As a mechanic for over 30 years I have seen 50 to 60
like this.

Also check incorrect grade of fuel, ignition timing incorrect, Carbon build up in combustion chambers, incorrect spark plugs (old or gap), ESC system, faulty distributer cap, dirty air filter, fault ignition coil(s), brakes binding, automatic trans fluid, EGR system, low or uneven cylinder compression, air (vacume) leak at intake manifold. Please update when problem is solved
