My truck started dumping fuel into the TBI when I turned over the key. Kinda like a guyser. My friend & neighbor and his friend checked it out for me because I was trying to work my way through my repair manual, but it doesn't have any troubleshooting pages. Any ways, they determined that I probably needed a throttle positioning sensor. So, Now I have replaced it, my truck wil start, but now when I go to put it into gear it dies. What should I be looking for now? Please help.
Thank you very much

After changing this sensor you have to have it hooked up to a computer or at least ohm meter in order to set the idle properly usally the directions for doing this comes in box with new part but the symtoms you describe lead me to beleive it would be your fuel pressure regulator not the tps sensor also make sure to change your oil.
