2002 Dodge Neon check engine light

The engine light just came on but its running perfectly fine, no noises, no leaks, not running hot. I just had an oil change last week and the guy said the engine looks very clean, no leaking, etc. Why would the engine light have come on suddenly.

Check for code s I could be as simple as gas cap off
or a sensor malfunction
cycle key ON OFF ON OFF read codes in odometer area
let me know

need manual CHECK IT @
