I just purchased a 2001 Dodge Neon with 91000 miles on it. I drove it for two days with no problems except a little rough idle when parked. Yesterday, my daugter was driving it down the street when it died on her. She startted it back up, but it would die when she shifted it into gear. Only if you hold the brake, and accelerate it some, will it go into gear without dying. I have been told that it is a fuel filter issue, and I have been told that it is a transmission/torque converter solenoid problem. I find no such solenoid. Can you tell me what may be the problem?
