Removal (2.7L Engine)
1.Disconnect negative battery cable from ground stud on shock tower using stud to isolate cable. Siphon as much P/S fluid from reservoir as possible. Carefully remove P/S fluid supply hose from reservoir. Remove P/S return hose from reservoir. Let remaining P/S fluid drain from reservoir and pump. 2.Remove P/S pressure hose from P/S pump. Loosen serpentine belt tensioner lock nut and adjustment bolt. Remove serpentine belt from P/S pump pulley. Access P/S pump mounting bolts through P/S pulley. Remove P/S pump mounting bolts. 3.To allow space for P/S pump removal, insert screwdriver between P/S pump sleeve and tensioner bracket. Using screwdriver, push sleeve forward in tensioner bracket until flush with back of tensioner bracket. Remove P/S pump, reservoir and pulley as assembly from top of vehicle.
