1997 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

why do my check engine light stay on, and when i turn my wheel, i hear like a knocking sound by the tire i think, but i be loud and it always do it even when i come off the brakes, what could that be

They may or may not be related. A computer scan will tell the story of your 'check engine' lamp. The wheel, tire, brakes and drive axles could have a worn or loose part. Please have both looked at, as I am always concerned for safety. ok
You may have a loose or failed CV joint. It is part of the drive axle.
