This sight is awesome. I recomend it to all my friends and aquaintances.
My car was running in excellent condition. I tune it up flush fluids and top them off regularly. No signs of tranny slipping at all. Driving on HWY, it went LIMP MODE. (Would not switch out of second gear). I figured out the radiator was a deffinate problem(plugged up). I replaced radiator and double checked all accesories for radiator, including sensors. After replacing to new parts I drove the car and it went into 1st 2nd AND 3rd gear but before shifting into 4th it goes neutral then limp mode again. I turn off car (to reset switch) and drive again same thing 1st 2nd 3rd real smooth then neutral before 4th and limp mode. Is there a simple fix perhaps a solenoid or something else or do I need to switch to new tranny.

Hi there,

Thank you for your donation and the vote of confidence in the site.

I must admit up front, that I am not that familiar with this transmission, as I live in Australia. But most autos work on the same principle. I would see if there is Transmission fault codes available. Most electronic shifting transmissions do support this technology. It sounds like a shift valve sticking and sending a signal to the ECU that it requires a down shift to drive. A
line pressure test will normally show any pressure and shifting problems and if available a set code will also help locate this error.
