Good Morning-
We have oil in the antifreeze of our 2006 Durango. There is NOT Antifreeze in the crank case. Initial thought is a head gasket but hoping you can offer your expertise to guide us in the right direction. Thanks much.

If engine oil, then headgasket, intake gasket.

If transmission oil then oil cooler in radiator is leaking.

Thank you for your FAST response. Is there is a quick/easy way to tell which oil it is coming from?

The oil level is not low so maybe this is an idication that it's the Transmission oil?

The Engine light came on yesterday and it seemed to jerk as it shifted gears. (Overdrive to drive and vice versa).

Trans fluid would be red, so if trans fluid is going down and engine oil level is OK, then trans fluid is culprit.

Fix this ASAP (new radiator) coolant in trans will soon ruin it.
