A few years back this started and only in the mornings on a cold day. I would start the engine and a roar that sounds like a diesel began. Vehicle moved fine in reverse and drive, just was noisy and maybe a bit sluggish. After a minutes or so it would level out and sound normal and function normally.

Now it is more often, does not have to be a cold day or the initial morning start up. Does this sound like anything to you? And if a common thing is it something easily repaired.

thanks Don

Don:
Does it sound like an industrial fan and get louder when the RPM's go up?
