Head Gasket Repair
1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo, 2.2L 4 cylinder, with 149,000 miles on it.
I need to know the steps that should be taken to replace a blown head gasket? I can't seem to find a book that gives any such advice. IF you could help I'd appreciate it.

Couple of points. Replace the head bolts when you do the job. Use a quality gasket set such as fel-pro. When you get the head off, take it to a machine shop, ask them to pressure test it and check for cracks. IF okay, have them machine it. Replace the thermostat at the same time as excessive heat can damage them.
